Kogyoku Midori watermelon was a great hit.

Beni Kodama ice-box sized watermelon was a great hit.

Opened Asuka Breeding Station.
1991
The World’s first Bloomless rootstock King kitora was released.
2006
Opened Uda Breeding & Research Station.
2015
Raou watermelon was awarded with the MAFF Minister's Prize.
